Birmingham City Council is developing a plan for a city centre workplace parking levy (WPL) that could raise £6m-£7m a year for transport improvements. 

The Labour-controlled council has ordered officers to prepare a full business case for a levy covering an area bounded by the A4540 Middleway ring road.
