The High Court has overturned the Metropolitan Police’s blanket ban on all Extinction Rebellion (ER) climate change protests in London last month.
The police imposed the ban under Section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986. A judicial review was brought by Green and Labour party politicians and environmental activists, including George Monbiot.
