The central London tunnel section of Crossrail between Paddington and Abbey Wood should open in summer 2021, Crossrail Ltd has said in a project update.
Crossrail Ltd expects to launch intensive operational testing of the central section, known as trial running, this autumn. This will see multiple trains operating in the tunnels to simulate the Elizabeth Line timetable.
