Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) has submitted a plan to ministers  for a Class C clean air zone in Bath. If approved, then from 4 November charges will apply to non-compliant taxis, private hire vehicles, vans, lorries, buses and coaches. 

Non-compliant heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches will have to  pay £100 a day and non-compliant taxis/PHVs and vans £9 a day. Charges will apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
