BRT system could support MK’s growth

A bus-based mass rapid transit (MRT) system could support the future growth of Milton Keynes, according to a 30-year spatial strategy published for consultation by the council. 

Milton Keynes Council’s draft 2050 strategy envisages the area’s population almost doubling from 268,600 today to 500,000, requiring about 87,000 new homes to be built.
