The Government has announced £20m to develop the Midlands Rail Hub plan for a major programme of improvements to rail services in the region. The proposals include 24 extra train services every hour on commuter and inter-regional services services between towns and cities such as Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln, and Hereford.
