Suffolk County Council is to borrow £65m to fill a funding gap for a new road bridge across Lake Lothing in Lowestoft.
The Lake Lothing Third Crossing – officially now called the Gull Wing – is intended to cut congestion on existing bridges, support the town’s growth and town centre regeneration, and reduce severance between the north and south of the town.
