Work from home rule sends rail into reverse

Rail passenger demand in Britain has started falling again, according to the DfT’s daily travel demand estimates.

In the middle of September rail demand recovered to about 40 per cent of the equivalent week in 2019. Provisional percentages for the seven days from Tuesday 22 to Monday 28 September are: 37, 36, 36, 34, 33, 33 and 32.
