Edinburgh’s council-owned tram company has voiced concerns about a plan to merge it with bus operator Lothian Buses. 

Council officers presented plans to councillors this summer to create a single transport company from the current three arms-length companies of Transport for Edinburgh Ltd, Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams (LTT 10 Jul). Transport of Edinburgh Ltd was formed in 2014 and is the parent company for the bus and tram firms.
