The Government has announced further emergency funding of £67.8m to keep six light rail systems in England operating during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The previous round of support ended on 26 October. It was paid to five systems: Metrolink in Greater Manchester, the Tyne and Wear Metro, South Yorkshire Supertram, Nottingham Express Transit, and the West Midlands Metro.
