The poor bus passenger (and they are more likely to be from lower income groups) is often overlooked when it comes to public transport. This is despite the fact that the bus is used far more than trains, metros or trams. In 2019/20 over 4.5 billion bus trips were made in Great Britain, compared to 1.7 billion rail journeys.
