HE consults on £230m bypass in Tameside

Highways England is consulting on a £228m bypass for the village of Mottram in Tameside, Greater Manchester.

The ‘Mottram Moor link road and A57 link road’ project will improve trans-pennine journeys between the M67 in Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire. The existing single carriageway A57 through Mottram carries about 25,000 vehicles a day, including more than 2,000 HGVs.
