West Sussex to scrap pop-up cycle lanes

West Sussex County Council has signalled the end for its ‘pop-up’ cycle lanes that have attracted thousands of complaints.

The council implemented seven schemes this summer with funding from the DfT’s Covid-19 Emergency Active Travel Fund. Plastic wands were used to separate the space on the carriageway.
