Ford-owned e-scooter company Spin has launched its first public hire trial in Basildon, Essex. Working with Basildon Council and Essex County Council, Spin is offering 50 e-scooters for hire but said it is looking to expand the fleet in line with demand.
The trial is expected to run for 12 months.
NHS staff will be eligible for free 30-minute free rides while unemployed and low-income riders will get a 50 per cent discount.
