Bristol joins Birmingham with clean air zone applying to cars

Bristol City Council is to implement the strictest form of clean air zone (CAZ) covering vehicle including cars to bring nitrogen dioxide concentrations down to legal levels.

The Class D CAZ will cover the central area (see map). Daily charges will apply to vehicles that don’t comply with the minimum emission standards: Euro 6 (diesel car/van), Euro 4 (petrol car/van) and Euro VI (buses, coaches and HGVs).
