Volkswagen is merging the virtual and real worlds in the dorm of a new augmented reality head-up display.

The system superimposes selected symbols such as turn arrows onto the outside world and displays them dynamically.

Volkswagen claims to be the first car manufacturer in the world to introduce this technology in the compact segment, making it affordable for many customers.

The new function will be introduced first in the all-electric ID.3 and ID.4 models.
