Nilesh (Neil) Sachdev has been appointed the new chair of the East West Railway Company (EWR Co), succeeding Rob Brighouse who has served as chair since the company was founded in 2017. Sachdev, appointed by transport secretary Grant Shapps, will serve for three years, overseeing delivery of the new rail link between Oxford and Cambridge.
