The Government has placed a planning application to expand Leeds Bradford Airport on hold to give communities secretary Robert Jenrick more time to consider if it should be called-in for a public inquiry.
In February, members of Leeds City Council’s city plans panel voted by nine to five to approve in principle the airport’s application to build a new terminal building on green belt land and change the hours of flights.
