Work has started on a new cycle lane as part of the £102m programme being carried out by Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council and Dorset County Council. Protected cycle tracks are being built on both sides of Whitelegg Way between the Redhill and Northbourne roundabouts. The project will also include improvements to bus stops and the pedestrian crossing, as well as walking and traffic control infrastructure. The estimated cost of the scheme is around £1m.
