Cardiff Council has installed raised footways across the entrances to side roads on Cowbridge Road East, a long residential and shopping street west of the city centre.
Give Way markings for vehicle drivers have been moved back, to reinforce that pedestrians walking along Cowbridge Road East have priority. The raised footways are surfaced with the same slabs as the adjoining footways along the main road.
