Sheffield council approves clean air zone plans

Sheffield City Council has approved plans to introduce a clean air zone (CAZ). The Category C scheme will include the most polluting older vehicles but not cars and motorbikes.

The daily charge will be £50 for non-compliant (older than Euro 6 Diesel and Euro 4 Petrol).

 HGVs, coaches and buses and £10 for minibuses, LGVs and licensed taxis.

Public consultation on the scheme, which will cover the city centre and inner ring road, will start in November, with a full business case...
