Almost 100 electric, zero emission buses are to be introduced in Leicester over the next three years, the city council has announced. The £47m programme, which includes £19m from the Government’s Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme, will see the introduction of 96 new electric buses on 21 of the city’s main routes.
