Nextbike halts Cardiff scheme after rise in vandalism and thefts

Bike share operator nextbike has temporarily stopped its cycle hire schemes in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan after a spike in thefts and vandalism. The bike hire operator said that its team in Cardiff has also faced threats from members of the public.

Nextbike plans to reintroduce its OVO bikes early next year but warned it will permanently close down the operation if the situation does not improve.
