CO2 emissions from vehicles passing through the Tyne Tunnel were reduced by 90% after a move to payment at the end of last yearAn open-road tolling structure was launched on 8 November 2021 by TT2, the company who run the North and South Tyne crossings on behalf of Transport North East (TNE),
