The integrity of number plates is integral to camera-enforced traffic management schemes such as Clean Air Zones, which have so far been introduced in Birmingham, Bath and Portsmouth, with schemes due to start in Bradford, Bristol, Newcastle and Sheffield later this year, as well as London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), which was extended in February.
