Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is to offer extra funding to save 26 bus services set to be withdrawn by operators. However, another 13 services will cease operation at the end of this year.

TfWM increased its annual subsidy for bus operators by £800,000 this year, taking the total budget to £16.3m. However, this was not enough to fully fund the 117 bus service contracts up for renewal at the end of this year, it said.
