Plans for a £5 congestion charge for Cambridge to pay for improved public transport have been formally dropped following a meeting of The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) board, which said it could not recommend taking the proposals forward. The Partnership is made up of the three local authorities in the area and other stakeholders.
