The Speed is the most prevalent factor in road fatalities, new data from the DfT shows. The two speed related factors – ‘exceeding the speed limit’ and ‘travelling too fast for conditions’ – accounted for 35% of fatal collisions, more than any other single factor when based on the post-investigation data.
