SMMT: UK new van registration volumes rise 8.4% to 23,962 units in best January for three years

New van registrations are increasingly zero-emission, as demand for new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) grew to 1,186 units in January, up 19.4% on the same month last year.

Data from Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) states that some 60,517 new BEVs have joined Britain’s roads since 2018,2 with access to the Plug-in Van Grant helping businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and cut their carbon emissions.
