Fake parking tickets threatening drivers with bogus £70 fines have been left on vehicles in a South Wales town. Bridgend County Borough Council is unsure whether the false penalty notices are being left to prevent motorists parking in the street or as a practical joke.

The fake tickets feature a local authority letterhead and came in yellow plastic bags with “penalty infringement notice” stamped on the outside.
