Adam Tranter is stepping down from his role as Cycling and Walking Commissioner for the West Midlands. This follows the departure of the West Midlands Mayor Andy Street, who was narrowly defeated by Labour’s Richard Parker in the mayoral elections on 2 May.

New Mayor Richard Parker has stated his commitment to finding a “suitable replacement”. He told the BBC: “Adam decided he no longer wanted to do the role and I respect his decision.
