Sunak ‘exaggerated’ economic and safety case for dualling A6

Campaign group Transport Action Network (TAN) has accused Rishi Sunak of exaggerating the economic and safety case for building the A66 Northern Trans Pennine scheme in his Richmond and Northallerton constituency.

The former Prime Minister has been lobbying for the £1.5bn scheme, which would dual the remaining sections of single carriageway on the route.
