Government commits to a review into how air quality information is communicated with the public

Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, whose daughter Ella had air pollution recognised as a factor in her death, has settled a legal action against the UK government.

Ella died following a fatal asthma attack in 2013 and became the first person in the UK to have air pollution recognised as a factor in her death.

The government said it is “truly sorry” for the loss of the nine-year-old and expressed its “deepest condolences” to Ella’s mother, siblings and everyone who knew...
