More than 3,200 people were captured on camera in Greater Manchester using mobile phones while driving or not wearing seat belts during a five-week trial using artificial intelligence (AI).  

The trial, carried out for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) by AECOM and Acusensus, was held across the city region. No offenders have yet been prosecuted.
