The Association of Train Operating Companies is seeking to cut staff numbers by 20% as a result of financial pressures affecting its train operator members.

The cutback from 210 to 170 staff is being accompanied by a reorganisation which will see some departments reduced in size or disbanded and their responsibilities and personnel reallocated.
