Bids invited for eco-towns cash

The Government has launched a consultation on how £60m for the first wave of eco-town locations could be allocated from 2009/10 to 2010/11. Eco-town local authorities will be required to prepare a ‘Programme of Development’ to bid for the funding from the Communities and Local Government’s Growth Fund. There is no requirement to spend the funding in any particular year. The first wave eco-towns are: Whitehill-Bordon (Hampshire), Rackheath (Norfolk), North West Bicester...
