Lambeth 'white badge' helps disabled drivers

Lambeth council is extending its white badge disabled parking scheme. This allows drivers living in the London borough to use their white badges in any disabled bay in Lambeth at any time of day without needing to use their blue badges.

The white badge scheme was  introduced to reduce the risk of blue badge theft. The badges are specific to individual cars and can only be used in Lambeth disabled bays, meaning there is little incentive for thieves to steal them.
