Work has started on the £6m park & ride scheme in Bridlington, a key feature of an East Riding of Yorkshire’s integrated transport plan for the resort town. The scheme, due to be operational in 2011, is designed to reduce summer traffic congestion in the seaside town. The 1,000-space site is being built on the existing South Cliff car park with access via a new road running through the South Shore Caravan Park.
