Liston’s career in the bus industry began when he joined Yorkshire Rider in 1987, as an apprentice PSV fitter at the Halifax depot. In 1993, through sponsorship by Yorkshire Rider, he undertook a four-year full-time degree in mechanical engineering and management at the University of Bradford.
