Stagecoach is on the verge of selling Preston Bus to Midlands independent Rotala, bus industry rumours suggest.
The divestment of the business was ordered by the Competition Commission in November 2009, following the sale of the employee-owned company to Stagecoach earlier that year for £6m. Preston Bus felt that it had no option but to sell out, following a prolonged bus war that had brought the company to its knees.
