I read John Dales comment about bollards with a growing smile (ibid). Far from disagreeing with him, I don’t think that his rant went far enough. It is not just 610 bollards that infuriate me, but an increasing range of street signs and even lining that engineers do not know how to install correctly.
It never ceases to amaze me how totally inept the profession as a whole is at correctly applying both road signs and markings.
