Arriva to sell Scotland West bus subsidiary to McGill’s

Independent bus operator McGill’s is to buy Arriva Scotland West in a deal reported to be worth over £10m. The sale, which is due to be completed in February, will double the size of Greenock-based McGill’s operations. It will see McGill’s take over Arriva Scotland West’s Johnstone and Inchinnan depots along with the 165 buses and routes which run from them. Nearly 400 Arriva employees will transfer to McGill’s.
