The recent announcement that the Government will examine the feasibility of introducing new ownership models and possibly introducing tolls and charging (LTT 30 Mar) is an encouraging step forward. Whilst it will no doubt attract scepticism or hostility from motorists, it will be a welcome addition to the future funding mix for the UK transport network.
