Merseyside bus firms collaborate

Bus operators on Merseyside have launched co-ordinated timetables and inter-operator ticketing on routes between Liverpool, the Wirral and Chester. “The co-ordinated timetable will reduce the number of buses entering Liverpool city centre by eight an hour without damaging the level of service to passengers,” David Blainey, Merseytravel’s operations manager for integrated transport, told councilors.
