Vale of Glamorgan starts enforcement two years after police pull out

On-street parking enforcement is set to return to the streets of Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan more than two years after South Wales Police withdrew its traffic wardens.

From April a team of of 17 new civil enforcement officers (CEOs), will be on patrol seven days a week, including bank holidays. Twelve CEOs will be in Bridgend, with another five in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Police traffic wardens were withdrawn in December 2010.
