Haywards Heath rail station parking boost

Parking for more than 1,000 vehicles features in plans for Haywards Heath railway station, in West Sussex. Mid Sussex District Council’s planning committee gave planning permission on 10 January. Eric Pickles, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, also approved the scheme, deciding that in the plans did not require further scrutiny.

The station will feature a new forecourt with a restaurant, shops and a new car park for 820 vehicles, with an additional 208 parking...
