The DfT is to launch a survey to identify what progress local highway authorities are making in implementing the Potholes Review recommendations.
The minister for local transport, Norman Baker, told the summit that one year on from the review’s recommendations being published he wanted an “update on progress”. The review recommended a greater slice of budgets is dedicated to preventative maintenance treatments and more permanent defects repairs.
