Local authorities opposed to the Government’s high-speed rail plans have vowed to carry on their legal fight despite the High Court last week rejecting every one of their points in a Judicial Review.
Mr Justice Ouseley rejected nine of the ten grounds for Judicial Review brought by opponents of the scheme. The 51m consortium of local authorities opposing HS2 brought seven of the cases and lost every one.
