Transport for London will apply next month for powers to build and operate the Northern Line Tube extension to Battersea.
Assuming the planning process runs smoothly, TfL says Charing Cross branch trains that currently terminate at Kennington would be running to Battersea by December 2019. Sixteen trains an hour are envisaged.
