Keith Rogers (Letters LTT 31 May) is quite right to highlight the patchy state of cycle parking provision in the UK. My company carries out cycle parking audits for local authorities and, although there is plenty of good provision around, bad practice abounds.
Plenty of journey generators have no parking at all. Job centres, for example, seldom, in our experience, have adequate cycle parking, despite the well-known link between job seeking and cycling.
